Death.. the single best invention of life!–Jobs

personal, commentary, spirituality

I’m listening very carefully to Steve Jobs! If you’re too busy for this – having to feed that dog or sommat –  at least scroll the video to 11:40 and take a minute or two from there. I’m printing these words and sticking them in front of my desk, “No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because death is very likely the single best invention of life. It is life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new.

Thanks Steve! You’ve changed many lives and parts of the world.

Jobs had a relapse of cancer after he had surgery for a more treatable form in 2004.

It’s sad that we often discover people and their wisdom after they pass on. Very sad indeed.
