Almost all of the songs by the late Gerry Rafferty have been and remain my favourites. Ever so often I revisit the clips on YouTube. It’s so strange sometimes when a singer and the song, seem to resonate with part of your being. It’s like a horoscope – not very accurate – but still touches many. And there is something about his voice that says ‘this is not just acting’.

The saxophone pieces in Baker Street – so unique. Rafferty sadly acted out parts of his life, in his songs. He struggled with alcohol problems and eventually succumbed. Baker Street was a kind of prediction of part of his future.
