What I’ve done

Just to be clear, I’ve done nothing more than try to help people to open their own eyes. But the problem is not with ‘the eyes’; it is with the brain or mind. One cannot open a brain or mind, even if one could pry open people’s eyes.

This thought comes to me on reflecting up on the song, “What I’ve done” by Linkin Park. Lyrics below the video. Now just calm down – did I say you have to like the song, genre, or the band? I did NOT!

And now I’m gonna be asked ‘What do you think it means’? Does what I think matter – never did before. I’m gonna be very ‘English’ and express no opinion on the song – so as to avoid ‘arguments’, and risk being arrested in the process for some offence under the Malicious Communications Act for speaking the truth! Oh yes – the truth if it offends is legally a crime in Eng-uh-land. You may not know or believe that but it is true.

So – what does this post mean? It means I’ve now given up on the human race. After 2 million years of evolution on a planet some 5 billion years old, having risen above and dominated all other lifeforms on earth, having been given the gift of intelligence exceeding all other living things – they are on a path of self-destruction. Their stupidity rules over their intelligence – at the highest levels. My job is not to cure them or save this ‘race’. I’ve not been given the job by anybody – and I cannot ‘arrogantly’ appoint myself saviour of the human race.

This blog has recorded my journey in reaching this position. Failed? I was never set a task by someone in authority. In my earlier years I probably set myself some goals to help this race. Well, I cannot. I’ve been defeated by tremendous forces of ignorance, stupidity, and blindness. I may help a small number of people – who are willing to listen and change. But it is not for me to ‘change’ anybody. Change comes to those who finally decide to do ‘change’ – to remove their own obstacles, and the obstacles are predominantly in the domain of ‘mind’.

I have to laugh really at numbers of folk who tell me they resolve to make A, B or C changes in their lives – and years later they’re doing the same as they always did. So – that’s it. No more pushing people to develop themselves, or even facilitating the changes they resolve to make year after year.
