Why this post today? I’ve been trying to work out how some people perceive me to be nice, and others perceive me to be arrogant, condescending, patronising and narcissistic. People see different sides of me – obviously. Some get the ‘wrong end of the stick’ for various reasons, hence their only way to get back is to attempt a destruction of my reputation. It is now a social media world where perception – not just on social media – matters more than truth and reality. This was covered to not in depth here: The truth is almost dead in a modern world .
Anyways – I’ve been thinking about the dangers of perception for quite some time.
In the last week I drew an infographic using free software at www.diagrams.net to see how some big concepts interacted with each other and dynamic relationships among them. But I then thought that just posting up the diagram on its own would run the risk of not holding much meaning because each box contains so many other ideas. So I decided to narrate the infographic by video. Note that the video is not about me ‘defending myself’. I require no assistance.
It’s not for ‘anyone’ or ‘everybody’ out there really. It is for me. I do stuff for me – and if it assists anyone else by chance, then that’s fine. If not – that’s also fine. Either way, I don’t want to know. My choice – thank you very much.
